Workshop Technician in Burnley
Rapid Recruit are on the lookout for a Workshop Technician to join our client’s team. They are a leading global expert in welding and coating services, based in Burnley, BB11.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Taking electrical systems out of service for maintenance, repair or commissioning and
- reinstating once work is completed
- 2. Build of CRC highly automated specialist equipment used to apply pipeline coatings including insulation machines, automated heating and coating machines, infra-red heaters, grit blasting machines and other automated pieces of equipment.
- 3. Refurbishment and fault finding of equipment returned from site implementing design upgrades and improvements to ensure the CRC fleet of equipment remains cutting edge.
- 4. On occasion, attend company or client’s facilities in UK or overseas to assist with and co-ordinate installation, refurbishment and de-mobilisation of equipment, when appropriate.
- 5. Be involved with projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing and handover to our field teams.
- 6. Have a passion for ‘World Class’ housekeeping standards.
- 7. To comply with CRC Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, policies and objectives.
- 8. To carry out any other tasks as reasonably required by management
- 9. Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental rules, policies, procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
Qualifications
- • 5 years’ experience in Mechanical engineering including fitting, from bench assembly to complete machine builds. Previous experience and a good understanding of Pneumatic / Hydraulic systems.
- • Experience with installation and commissioning of hydraulic pipework and systems.
- • Previous Fabrication experience including welding.
- • A knowledge of Electrical systems and understanding of machine wiring, and basic knowledge of electrical hazards.
- • Able to read and understand design specifications and technical drawings.
Position Details
- The hours of work are 7:30am-4pm, Monday to Friday.
- This is a permanent position with a yearly salary ranging from £36,000-£40,000 depending on experience.
