HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Bacup
Hours: 6.45am–4.15pm, Tuesday to Friday (may be ad hoc)
Pay: £14.13 per hour
Type: Temporary role with potential for permanent employment.
About the Role
Rapid Recruit are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Bacup. You will be working as part of a small, supportive team, responsible for the collection of domestic and commercial waste across local areas.
Key Responsibilities
- – Safely operate Class 2 collection vehicles on designated routes
- – Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects
- – Collect household, recycling and commercial waste efficiently
- – Adhere to all health & safety procedures, using PPE at all times
- – Work closely with loaders and remain alert to public and road hazards
- – Complete required paperwork and comply with driving regulations.
Requirements
- – Availability at short notice and for standby cover
- – Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- – Flexible approach, including assisting as a loader when required
- – Valid Class 2 licence, CPC card and tachograph card (essential)
- – Previous experience preferred but not essential — new drivers welcome.
