Class 1 Driver

Pay: £18.00 per hour | Overtime paid at time and a half

About the Role
Rapid Recruit are recruiting a Night Shift Class 1 Driver for a busy client based in Blackburn. This role involves driving, loading/unloading and ensuring all paperwork and compliance requirements are completed accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- – Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle, completing 3–8 drops per shift
- – Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring loads are secured correctly and legally
- – Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report defects
- – Use tachographs correctly to comply with drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive (WTD)
- – Complete delivery notes, logbooks and transport paperwork accurately
- – Manual handling and physical work involved
- – FLT training provided to support loading/unloading.
Requirements
- – Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
- – Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
