FLT/Warehouse Operative

Location: Burnley
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm
Pay: £13.11-£13.91 per hour
Type: Temporary to permanent.

About the Role

Rapid Recruit is seeking a dedicated FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our client’s team based in Burnley.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklift trucks and supporting a variety of warehouse duties to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• – Safely operating forklift trucks to load, unload and move goods within the warehouse
• – Assisting with stock management using warehouse management systems
• – Handling materials carefully and ensuring correct storage and stacking procedures
• – Supporting shipping and receiving activities, including preparing goods for dispatch
• – Carrying out basic maintenance and safety checks on FLT equipment
• – Assisting with inventory counts and stock replenishment
• – Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times
• – Supporting general warehouse duties including order picking, packing and preparing customer orders.

Requirements

• – Valid FLT licences including Counterbalance, Reach or VNA
• – Minimum 6 months’ experience operating forklift trucks safely
• – Previous warehouse experience preferred
• – Strong material handling skills, including loading and unloading
• – Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
