Commercial Manager
Location: Blackburn
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm
Pay: Up to £45,000
Type: Permanent
About the Role
Rapid Recruit is recruiting a Commercial Manager on behalf of our client in the Blackburn area. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for driving profitable growth through strong customer relationships, commercial strategy development and effective contract and pricing management.
You will work closely with production, finance and supply chain to ensure commercial success and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- – Develop and execute commercial plans aligned to business goals
- – Identify new business opportunities and monitor market trends
- – Lead pricing, quotations, tenders, contract negotiations and renewals
- – Build strong relationships with key customers and manage escalations
- – Track performance metrics (sales, margin, contract performance, risks)
- – Ensure accurate costing, pricing and profitability
- – Collaborate with operations, supply chain and finance
- – Support product development and manage commercial changes
- – Lead and develop the commercial/sales administration team across two sites
- – Promote a customer focused, accountable culture.
Requirements
- – Proven commercial, sales or business management experience in manufacturing/industrial sectors
- – Strong pricing, costing and contract negotiation skills
- – Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- – Ability to interpret technical information and work with production teams
- – Experience in forecasting and budgeting
- – Commercial/leadership qualifications beneficial (not essential)
- – Flexibility to travel.
