Service Engineer/Assistant in Burnley

Rapid Recruit have a new and exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer/Assistant to join our client’s team, one of the leading innovators and distributors of drilling equipment based in Burnley.

Key Responsibilities

– Performing repairs and replacements of faulty components on portable magnetic drilling machines and other fabricating equipment
– Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions
– Preparing, running & checking new equipment for dispatch
– Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance on hire equipment
– Collaborating with customers to understand their needs and providing technical support
– Liaising with customers regarding repairs and quotations
– Training customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures
– Documenting all service activities including repairs, replacements and customer interactions
– Occasional warehouse duties such as storing received goods in the correct locations.

Position Details

This a full-time, temporary to permanent position working Monday to Friday on a day shift.

The rate of pay ranges from £12.00 – £14.00 per hour, dependant on experience.

An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Experience working with power tools/hand tools
Proven experience as a Service Engineer or similar role
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Ability to travel to customer sites if required to offer technical support.
