Warehouse Operative

Location: Wigan

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2.30pm or 1.30pm-10pm

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Type: Temporary to permanent

Rapid Recruit are recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join our client’s team based in the heart of Wigan. The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations by meeting productivity targets, maintaining stock accuracy and following all health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• – Accurately picking orders to targets using a handheld scanning gun
• – Packing goods securely to prevent damage during storage or dispatch
• – Palletising orders in line with warehouse procedures
• – Labelling products correctly, including barcodes and shipping information
• – Shrink wrapping pallets to ensure safe transportation
• – Loading and unloading containers and vehicles safely and efficiently
• – Moving stock within the warehouse using appropriate manual handling techniques
• – Assisting with stock control, stock rotation and general inventory checks when required.

Requirements:

• – Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment is preferred but not essential.
