HGV Technician

Location: Nelson
Hours: Days – Monday to Friday 8am-5pm & Saturday’s 8am-12pm, when required

Nights – Alternating Monday to Thursday & Tuesday to Friday, 6pm-6am
Pay: £54,000-£65,000 per annum
Type: Permanent

About the Role

Rapid Recruit are currently recruiting experienced HGV Technicians on behalf of our client in Nelson. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in a fully equipped five-bay workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• – Diagnose, repair and maintain a range of HGVs and vans to the highest standards
• – Prepare vehicles for MOT tests and achieve a 100% pass rate
• – Attend breakdowns and provide roadside repairs (on a rota basis)
• – Complete all paperwork promptly and accurately
• – Ensure health and safety and company policies are followed.

Requirements

• – NVQ Level 3 in relevant field such as HGV Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• – Previous experience working with HGVs, ideally within a dealership or similar environment
• – HGV licence (Class 2 or above is preferred, but not essential)
• – Availability to participate in a call-out rota for roadside repairs.
