Key Responsibilities

1. – Preparing surfaces prior to painting such as cleaning, degreasing, sanding and masking
2. – Applying primer, base coats and topcoats as required, ensuring even coverage and desired finish
3. – Applying wet spray paint on a range of materials including GRP, carbon fibre, wood and metals
4. – Liaising with the Production Supervisor to ensure the correct stock per job is readily available and customer requirements are met
5. – Conducting inspections at every stage to ensure surfaces are properly prepared, all equipment is set up correctly and high standards are maintained
6. – Keeping detailed records of materials used for traceability and quality control
7. – Completing continuous maintenance tasks and the general daily upkeep of the wet paint spray booth
8. – Ensuring regular daily/weekly machinery and preparation areas maintenance is kept up to date.

Position Details

This is a demanding role so we ask that candidates have a strong work ethic, the willingness to offer support wherever needed and deliver against deadlines.

Experience within a manufacturing environment and an understanding of basic engineering principles is desirable.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Thursday 7.30am-3.30pm and Friday 7.30am-1.30pm.

The rate is pay is £14.12 per hour. Overtime is also available.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehousing environment, heavy lifting, demonstrating proficiency in the tasks mentioned above.
